Helping you heal and regain function.

When joints and muscles are not functioning properly, abnormal wear and tear can result. This forces your body to compensate and work harder, which leads to pain, fatigue and a variety of other health issues.

Our bodies are resilient and may eventually recover on their own, but chiropractic care can speed up the healing process and assist us in regaining normal mobility and function. Although most people seek out chiropractic services when they are experiencing pain, our ultimate goal is to educate our patients about injury prevention, health optimization and enhanced sports performance.

“Dr. Dawn is a skilled chiropractor whose passion for healing is clearly evident in the breadth of her practice. She truly cares about her patient’s well-being, and all the facets of health and wellness.”

Questions and answers about Chiropractic therapy

Do Chiropractors treat only the neck and back?

No. Chiropractors definitely treat the neck and back, but we focus on the joints, muscles and nervous system of the entire body. We treat shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, hips, knees, ankles and feet. We address your body as a whole.

What is an adjustment like?

Adjustments feel like light pressure applied to the spine or to the joints of the body. Most of the time patients feel a sense of release and increased mobility as a result. It is a very comfortable feeling. If it weren’t, most patients would never come back.

Are chiropractic adjustments safe?

YES! Studies show that a chiropractic adjustment is extremely safe. It is the best conservative alternative to prescription medications and surgeries. Although some medications and surgeries cannot be avoided, it’s important to determine the least invasive approach to your health. A thorough examination will identify the few rare patients who are not good candidates for chiropractic adjustments and might benefit more from other types of treatments.

Who can get adjustments?

Chiropractic adjustments are for ALL ages, from babies to seniors and everyone in between. Adjustments are great for active people as well as the majority of our work force who may sit for 8+ hours a day. Each person is adjusted according to their unique traits, including age, size and pre-existing health issues. Most importantly, we want you to feel relaxed and comfortable.

Is it true that I have to continue treatment for the rest of my life?

This is a trick question. No, you do not have to continue treatment for the rest of your life once you recover from your pain or discomfort, but continued treatment can help maintain your body’s optimal function. It is not mandatory, but why not focus on preventative care? Yes, most people seek out chiropractic care to relieve pain, but just like getting your teeth cleaned or having your car’s oil changed, your body needs attention even when no mechanical dysfunction seems evident. Over time, you will spend less money on your health if you invest in preventative care.
